In this guitar lesson, learn to read a certain type of Guitar Tablature. We will use the song White Christmas as an example. You will learn to play the melody and the chord on his guitar.
Guitar tabs show you how to put your fingers on the fretboard to play a song, agreements or something else.
A very common here has a staff of six lines representing the six strings of the guitar and the numbers indicate the frets to the press.
In this lesson, we will use a form of tablature with numbers saying that fret and string to play. Here is an example:

The first number tells you which fret to press down and play the second string. These two numbers tell you to drive the second fret on the fourth string.
Let's look at the first line of the Christmas song White Christmas and the corresponding melody written with this kind of guitar tabs:
(C) I'm dreaming of a (Dm) white (G7) Christmas

As You Can see the first note to play is the second box in the chain of four. The last note 03 tells you to play the third string without pressing down a fret.
I have also included suggestions of agreements between the words in brackets, just before the appropriate syllable.
Agreements C major, D minor and G7 can be played as follows:
C: 35 24 03 12 01
DM: 04 23 32 11
G7: 36 25 04 03 02 11

I suggest to give your fingers left to play specific frets on the fretboard of guitar with the following table:
Index: first table
Middle fret second finger
Ring finger: third fret
If you use the left hand fingering suggestions, will be easier for you can find your way around the fretboard, as you can keep your left hand in a relatively fixed position you play. It may be a little difficult at first, but little by little practice will soon become a natural way to play on his guitar.

I suggest you memorize the melody by practicing a line at a time. So you're ready to play the melody once it is set around a guitar.
The next verse begins with a melody identical, but the last two lines have changed.

In this type of guitar tablature notation you will not find any indication of the duration of individual notes. I suggest you sing the melody to memorize lines to get the right rhythm.
