In recent years there has been a sharp increase worthy of the popularity of "unplugged" performances. Such exhibitions as might be supposed by name, the artists appear in small rooms acoustic show for a small audience. An interesting aspect of these performances is sometimes the artists perform in electric guitars without using amplifiers. The irony, of course, is that electric guitars were specifically designed to be able to use amplifiers music can be heard.
It seems we've come full circle. The acoustic performance, I hypothesize an attempt by the artist and AUDIENT to "return to music. "And there's certainly nothing wrong with that. But because of the place and the public are small is that they were not, nobody can hear anything. The fact remains that the Electric guitars are designed for use with amplifiers. If not, it is very difficult to hear what is at stake, because of that (most) cases of guitars power are solid and not hollow like an acoustic instrument. So when the Unplugged performance art can have a value that can not make use of the advantages of the most powerful and important of the electric guitar: the amplifier.
A guitar amplifier is simply an electronic amplifier designed for use with an electric guitar. An electronic amplifier, in turn, is a device designed to increase power and range of a signal. In this case, this signal is received from the guitar. Guitar amps are all from the 1930s. In that time until the 1940s, Hawaiian music was all the rage and amplifiers were mainly used on the Lap Steel Guitar from Hawaii. Then in the 1950s through the rock and roll turns of the electric guitar took off at has done its amplifiers. In black and white episodes of American Bandstand show the artists in the stages that are subtly edged with amplifiers attached to the electric guitar. But does not stop there. Over the next decade, artists began to experiment with a distortion that could be caused by a deliberate overload of its amplifiers. This led to the integration of preamplifier distortion controls, benefiting almost as guitar amps Musical Instrument in its own right. True, became impossible to imagine modern music without the use of these devices.
Today, most guitar amps are two general types. The One is the combination or "combo" amplifier, which contains the amplifier head and speaker of the guitar in one unit. The amp head contains the electronic circuits constituting the preamp, built-in effects processing and power amplifier. The other type of amplifier has two speakers separated by cables. Thus, amplifier head is in a unit, while the guitar speakers in the other. The device head is commonly placed on the guitar of one or more speakers.
Of the two main types of amplifiers, a number of sub-categories promoted by different genres and instruments. Traditional amplifiers, known for their clean, warm, often used for rock, blues, country, indie and alternative bands. Amplifiers style Hard Rock, as its name suggests, are used by hard rock, metal and punk and artists often include a number of distortion effects and preamp controls. Bass amplifier have extended bass response and optimize the tone that sounds like a bass. Finally acoustic amp, an apparent contradiction in terms, are designed for use with acoustic instruments that have integrated microphones or pickups.
